1. Get android charger

Get an unused android charger that you don’t mind cutting up (iPhone chargers work, but they have extra wires—android chargers are easier to deal with). iPhone chargers should work, but you will still have a wire that needs to be cut. iPhone cables are slightly bigger in diameter compared to the android charger’s charging cable anyway and so it could be cumbersome cutting or trimming them down

2. Cut the wire

Cut the wire so that only the USB portion of the wire should be left. Make sure the cord is long enough to reach a wall outlet or a USB port on your laptop. Cut the rubber to a comfortable length to see the red and black wires inside the covering.

3. Remove the wire

Remove the red and black wires. If you don’t have wire strippers, you can either hold them over a flame (as I did) or strip them with nail clippers.

You should see two wires with silver insides popping out from the primary wire if everything is done correctly.

4. Place the wire in the cartridge.

The black wire should be inserted into the cartridge. A little hole can be found near the bottom of the cartridge. Carefully place the black wire there.

5. Connect the charger to an electrical outlet.
